How To Clean Life Jackets?
Below: Team Rider Pedro Caldas .
Treat it like your baby & wash after every use!
That's right, every session give it a rinse with clean water, this will wash away dirt, oils and debris. You don't want to overkill it with harsh chemicals that can destroy your bad boy.
If you've just busted out your gear from storage and you see mold or mildew...RUN! Just kidding! Follow these steps:
- Use water and mild soap (or detergent) along with a soft brush (like a toothbrush) or clean cloth to scrub the areas where the stains are located.
- Rinse with clean water.
- If it is still there. Repeat the process a few times until it is removed.
- When the life jacket is completely clean, hang it up to dry out of direct sunlight and do not put it back in use or into a storage container until it is completely dry.

Do Life Jackets Expire?
We gotta tell you that it won't last forever.
If your life jacket rips due to a gnarly taco on a rail or because of you leaving it in the driveway to dry and your mom runs over it with her car. (I wouldn’t say that if it didn’t happen before…)
You should make sure the foam is still intact and you might be able to fix it, if the foam is f#$%ed.. We are sorry but you shouldn’t play with your safety and get a new one..
